Global steam-chest market is
segmented on the basis of product types, applications and geography.
Steam is treated in a turbine
from super-heater outlets through the high pressure steam mains, upto the
emergency stop valves and the associated governing valves are kept in steam
chests. To minimize the thermal stress and the risk of thermal fatigue, these
steam chests come in simple shapes and are produced from closed-die alloy steel
forgings welded collectively, or from alloy steel castings. Similar steam
chests containing emergency stop valves and interceptor valves are used in the
hot reheat pipes from the reheated to the intermediate pressure cylinder of the
turbine. These steam chests are invariably manufactured from alloy steel
castings which are thinner but larger than the HP steam chests because of the
much lower steam pressure conditions.

Steam turbines serve as a
medium to convert saturated, supercritical or superheated steam obtained from
boilers and heat recovery steam generators. Steam turbines are thus used to
drive a variety of equipment of number in sizes and speed in almost all
verticals such as iron and steel, paper and pulp, combined power and heat,
chemical, oil and gas industries. The differences in the design, complexity,
application, steam conditions and size of steam turbines may differ since they
all are fundamentally similar. The functioning is the same since the equipment
uses the major components and systems. Constraints such as system failure may
head up hence to support reliable turbine operation effective infrastructure is
needed along with monitoring and operating conditions coupled with health of
steam turbine. Further, control valves are mounted on the turbine shell to control
the steam flow to the turbine for starting. Normally, a series and sequence of
arrangements are performed and mounted on a steam chest that may be coupled or
bolted to the shell.
On the basis of applications,
the steam-chest market is segmented into kitchen cooking food, disinfection,
agriculture greenhouse and so on.
Based on geographic
segmentation, the steam-chest market is segmented into Middle East &
Africa, North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America. APAC regions are
expected to rise at a higher CAGR in the forecast period owing to rise in
manufacturing sector. U.S. and European market are also anticipated to grow at
a higher CAGR in the forecast period owing to advancements in manufacturing
sector.
The global key players in the
steam-chest sales market are SIEMENS, Midea, Fotile, Gei Huan Enterprise,
Quickly Food Machinery, Jiangsu JM Machinery and Shanghai Quanyou.
